STEM and STEAM Education are the hot topics in schools today. STEM and STEAM are interdisciplinary approaches to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real world lessons. Students apply science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and global enterprise. Both programs seek to produce more students who are both passionate and prepared to become tomorrow’s scientists and engineers, and other STEM/STEAM related careers.

Below are some of my favorite activities that you could do with any grade. The kids absolutely love these activities and learn so much more than just the STEM aspect of it, but it challenges kids to work together, think through the process and revise their design to make it the best it could be. It also really helped some of the more introverted students to come out of their shell and show their knowledge and skills that we may have not seen before.
